A team of archaeologists uncovered the tomb in the Ashmunein area of the Minya Governorate, located on the west bank of the Nile River in Egypt, as reported by Alwasat News.

A picture of the painting spread rapidly across social media platforms, with many users sharing it on Reddit, reported Alwasat News.

Reddit users pointed out the similarity between the ancient Egyptian character and Marge Simpson.

"This is the only documented time in history that The Simpsons didn't do it first," noted one user.

In the excavation works, jewelry, amulets, and sarcophagi were also uncovered inside the tomb, Sozcu reported.
