Air Haifa flights begin: Starting prices, dates, and destinations opened

Air Haifa's flights to Eilat begin Oct 13. Prices start at $64 for Cyprus. New airline to serve North Israel. Transport Minister calls it historic moment.

The airline, Air Haifa announced that it has received the operational operating license from the Ministry of Transportation and that it will begin operating flights next week.

The company will start operating flights from Haifa to Eilat on October 13 until the eve of Yom Kippur, it will operate a daily flight from Ben Gurion Airport to Ramon Airport and back at an introductory price of NIS 99 each way.

Air Haifa stated in its announcement that, in order to obtain the license, all the required processes have been completed and the company is now prepared to operate commercial flights immediately.

But in view of the security situation, starting next Monday until the eve of Yom Kippur, Air Yaffe will operate two daily flights from Tel Aviv to Eilat at an introductory price of NIS 99 each way.

The company's flights from Haifa Airport to Eilat and Cyprus will begin according to the plan on Sunday, October 13, after Yom Kippur subject to the security situation and the approval of the relevant authorities, with the first flight from Haifa Airport to Eilat scheduled to take off on October 13. On Monday, October 14th, the first flight from Haifa to Cyprus is expected to take off, depending of course on the security situation, which may move the company's operations to Benin.

The starting price for the company's flights from Haifa to Eilat is NIS 139 one way and to Cyprus - $64 one way. "This is a historic moment for the Israeli aviation industry and after 30 years, a new Israeli airline is joining to serve the residents of Israel in general and the North in general," noted Transport Minister Miri Regev.

Co-founder and CEO of Air Haifa, Gonen Usishkin said further: "Air Haifa's activity is expected to significantly upgrade the connectivity between the north and Eilat and popular destinations in the Mediterranean region."
