The end of wrinkles? The clothes dryer that guarantees ironed clothes
The Beko brand launches a clothes dryer with advanced IronFinish technology, with the promise that the clothes that come out of it will look like after ironing.
My bet: more than half of the families in the world will define the task of ironing as "the most frustrating part of maintaining the house", because it is a cumbersome task that grows day by day into mountains of wrinkled bedding and clothes, and the more items are waiting to be ironed and the more wrinkled they are - the more procrastination increases, from experience .
In every house where there is a family with 4 or more people, there are always dishes and laundry, and a lot of them! But these chores have been faithfully done for us, for decades, by the inventions of the century: the dishwasher, the washing machine and the dryer.
But what about the piles of wrinkled items that desperately need ironing? Who will stand to iron them in our place? Why is the invention that we are all waiting for delayed so long? And it seemed that this longing would remain a dream, until... the household appliance brand Beko, came out with the new dryer that promises exactly that. If I usually avoid testing heavy devices, this time I couldn't give up and went to check "is it a miracle?", myself!
As mentioned, many would prefer (if only they could) to give up the task of ironing, and also to pay quite a bit of money for it, and here, after a long and rigorous development period, the electrical goods brand presents the washer dryer model equipped with advanced IronFinish technology that promises to make ironing work at home easier and free the Time for the really important things. Does it sound like a distant dream to you too? Skeptical, curious and with a sense of mission - I went to check.
So to make the big story small, I will present the main conclusion: don't give up on the ironing board and the steam iron just yet. The new beko dryer is much more efficient in this regard than other good washer dryers we have worked with, but it is far from fulfilling our dream of warm, clean, ironed laundry that is ready for use immediately after its operation.
Efficiency and protection: efficiency by using lower temperatures and reusing hot air, which also provides better protection for your clothes. Prevention of over-drying: The product's sensor drying programs detect the moisture level in the drum and automatically stop the cycle when the optimal dryness level has been reached, which may save time and electricity consumption costs. Interior lighting: Makes loading and unloading laundry easier by illuminating the inside of the drum, our interior light helps you easily spot the smaller items that might get left behind. Anti-wrinkle action: The anti-wrinkle function rotates the drum for an additional extended time after the drying operation is completed and separates the items to minimize wrinkles. The "ironing" operation is done by introducing water and steam into the garment during drying, (with reservation for use for up to 6 items only).
The manufacturer's words sound like a big promise: "We are happy to bring to the Israeli consumer the IronFinish technology in the Beko washer dryer category, a washer dryer that makes sure that the clothes come out not only dry but also ironed.
One of the goals that Beko has set for itself is to develop innovative products that on the one hand perform actions on the best side and on the other hand shorten the time we dedicate to household chores. Our ultimate goal is for consumers to equip their home with technological electrical devices that will reduce the time spent on household chores and channelize the free time for recreation and leisure," said Gihan Yeshin, CEO Beko Israel. Yair Rosen, CEO of Brimag, the official importer of the brand to Israel: "Brimag, the official importer of the brand in Israel for the past 20 years, is happy to bring the advanced technological news, IronFinish, which will provide a good and efficient response to the Israeli consumer during the upcoming rainy winter season At the door".

The new dryer by Baco with IronFinish™ technology provides 15 different drying programs, to precisely match the needs of the items. Among the efficient programs I used: Xpress Super Short for a very fast program of not particularly dirty laundry, which saved me time and of course electricity consumption. The ECO program is indeed economical in terms of electricity consumption, but it is very long (it also took about 4 hours).
According to the manufacturer's promises, the dryer has two main features: it both dries the clothes and makes sure they come out ironed and straight, as mentioned, by introducing water and steam into the clothes during drying, for the time they need (and no more) and at the right temperature - and this is what I wanted to check through the program ready to wear
In this case, I tried the unique ironfinish technology that the manufacturer boasts of for smoothing out the wrinkles. It can be said that this technology, according to which steam is injected into the items and spaces are created between them during the drying process - does the job - but apparently it will not be enough for the most strict.
The limitation in this program is interesting: you can enter up to 6 items only, or up to a kilo in the weight of the clothes, preferably shirts. Indeed, 6 shirts that I put in the dryer came out at the end of 52 minutes, dry and not wrinkled as usual, that is, they could be worn immediately after drying - as mentioned, for those who are not particularly careful about every wrinkle, for example my children it was enough. The same program I tried on bedding, less than met expectations (literally) and since the weight of the items exceeded 1 kg, I have nothing and no one to express disappointment about.
It should be noted that I was very impressed by the silence during operation, by the water tank that does not require emptying every time it is used, by the black but transparent door that sets it apart on both a design and practical level. Another point to his credit: a test I did at the same time, when I put the same number of items of similar weight into two clothes dryers of a similar quality level, the Baco dryer knew how to update the working time and finished full drying in about 23 minutes less time than the other dryer.
Full drying time at full load lasted 203 minutes - not a little but also not very different from other new and good clothes dryers in the same category. A standard program that I run and usually lasts 1:58 in a parallel dryer, lasted in the dryer in the new one we tested, 132 minutes, after an automatic update performed by the model with the weighting of the data (load, weight, etc.).
I don't know anyone for whom this promise of self-ironed clothes wouldn't awaken dreams of a house without full laundry baskets, it's unpleasant to admit, but for me, laundry baskets like these always exist and have long since become part of the warm landscape of the house. The new dryer that dares to guarantee ironed clothes straight from the dryer - has courage! Such a promise sounds like the distant dream of all household managers with children, no matter how busy they are or how much free time they have for home care.
Nowadays, when "time = money", and electricity consumption costs are higher than ever, we will all be happy to adopt innovations that will help us save: whether during the drying operation and electricity consumption thanks to automatic weighing of the dryer and ending the operation as soon as the garment is dry (without over-drying which depends only on time) or if it Savings that will be reflected in our precious time that will be freed from the cumbersome chore of ironing.
Admittedly, the product has not yet been invented thanks to which we can get rid of the ironing board and the elaborate iron, but Biko certainly shows progress and consideration, and yes, you can trust their technology with straightening wrinkles for individual items and saving time, but more than that, on the willingness to innovate and optimize the use of electrical products.
And what aboutthe price?
Very high compared to clothes dryers with a similar capacity and condenser. Will the savings in working time and the reduction of the time we spend ironing be reflected in the long run also in our expenses for electricity or household help? If so, in the distance of time, its price may be justified.
The recommended price for the consumer: NIS 2,990, comes with a 12-month warranty.
Can be obtained in selected chains and electrical stores.
