Following the engagements: an easy trip with children
Visit Irus Park at its prime for a family-friendly walk among Nazareth Iris, mountain tulips, and more.
The weekend is expected to be pleasant, so you should take advantage of it to take a little walk in nature.
If you are debating how to keep the children busy, but also take a walk with them in the blossoming nature, we have a perfect trip for you - a blossom trip in the Iros Park in the Galilee landscape.
The Irus Park was ecologically restored and recently opened by the Israel Lands Authority's Fund for the Preservation of Open Areas. The northern park is at its peak during this period, when the entire park was filled with the rare and colorful bloom of the Nazareth Irus, mountain tulips, anemones and hollyhocks, and everything around is green and abundant with natural vegetation.
The park is accessible and offers an easy circular path of 2 km. The path goes around the top of the mountain and connects the old and the new neighborhood in the Galilee landscape. Along the path you will find observation points to the landscapes of the Galilee and the Jezreel Valley. At the top of the mountain there is also a "floating bridge" waiting for you - an observation deck overlooking On the green spaces and from there you can return to the beginning of the route.
Of course, the park also has a number of picnic areas.
How to get there: the beginning of the trail on Atara Street, Nof HaGilil (the ascent through the stairs of the amusement park is not accessible).
Accessible entrance to the path through the Har Yona D. neighborhood, Nof HaGalil
