The rebel, the sporty, and the super cruiser: Meet the new Indians

Indian adds three new versions to its models: The muscular and sporty FTR, the Pursuit for long-distance touring, and the Rogue for the customized.

D.L.B Motorsport, the importer of Indian motorcycles to Israel, adds three new versions to its Indian tribe in its showrooms. Three versions aimed at completely different directions than the manufacturer's usual range.

The first of the three is the FTR, not an entirely new model, but an update for those with us since 2019 who have already become familiar with the sportier side of Indian, where it transcends the illustrious history of this manufacturer on the dusty oval tracks in America. Updates include engine management, new suspension tuning, sharpening of the steering angle, a different riding position thanks to a 40mm lower handlebar, and a switch to 17-inch rims - which should improve agility in direction changes - one of the criticisms we had towards the FTR in its initial review.

The engine itself remains unchanged, 1,203 cc with 123 horsepower and 12.2 kgm torque, but it does receive a new engine management system and the ability to deactivate the rear cylinder at idle - again, it is highly likely that this is a solution to another problem it had - the excessive heat emitted from the engine to the rider's thighs.

In the past, motorcycles could be obtained in a variety of versions, ranging from relatively simple ones with a starting price of NIS 112,000 to the more equipped versions, starting from different paint finishes and up to the Championship Edition which celebrates Indian's victories on flat-track circuits and will be produced in only 400 units. Among the additions are Akrapovic exhausts, adjustable suspensions, carbon fiber parts, a complex seat cover, and more.

The second version mentioned here is the Scout Rogue, mainly focusing on a design package that emphasizes the more aggressive side of the motorcycle. With a relatively low seating position, black 19-inch cast wheels, as well as black painting for the engine heads, a sporty seat, a unique front mask, and more.

In terms of the engine, there is no change, the same V-twin 1,133 cc and 95 horsepower as you will find in various other Scout versions.

The price of the Scout Rogue will stand at NIS 114,000.

And for those looking for Indian motorcycles for long distances, there is now also the Pursuit in the showroom. With wind protection, equipment, and a saddlebag package that allows for longer rides, it introduces Indian to the world of well-equipped cruisers dominated mainly by brands like Harley-Davidson and Honda Goldwing.

Beneath all this size is the Power Plus engine, in a V-twin configuration and a displacement of 1,768 cc, with 120 horsepower and 18.1 kgm. The braking system is made by Brembo with Bosch's cornering sensors that allow for ABS use while cornering. Electronic adjustable suspensions controlled by the touch screen take care of ride comfort, allowing to adjust the damping to the weight and type of riding. The 7-inch screen itself also offers connectivity for Apple devices and is adapted for use with gloves.

Behind the large and adjustable mirror are also heated handles and seats, and the equipment can be placed in the 133 liters of storage boxes around its tail.

The pleasure, as is customary in such vehicles, is not cheap - NIS 270,000.
