Butterfly Lake Park in Karmiel organizes family activities for Purim
The Butterfly Park spans 15 dunams and features natural biotopes with 180 types of plants, including wildflowers and herbs designed to attract butterflies.
Special family activities for Purim in Butterfly Lake Park in Karmiel - the first of its kind, an ecological natural butterfly park in the world. The tour will take place on Purim, March 24th, and visitors will be given Purim accessories.
The Butterfly Park is an open complex spread over 15 dunams and includes natural biotopes, including about 180 types of perennial and annual plants, open spaces of wildflowers and herbs, adapted to attract butterflies to the area. The favorable conditions established in the park for the local butterflies have made the park very attractive for the butterflies. As far as is known, there is no other place in the world where there is such a large variety of butterflies relative to the small area in terms of the park's natural areas.
Naturally, there are 50 different species of butterflies in the park out of a total of 62 existing species in the area.
