Heading to the beach? A comfy chair is passe, opt for a sofa. IKEA's design studio, Space 10, unveils a couch that folds into a compact envelope.

Can a couch fold? Definitely yes, if you're IKEA-minded. The Swedish giant, known for its original solutions, has come up with a new revolutionary idea from its Danish-owned studio, Space 10 - "couch in an envelope".

So how does it work? It's a couch that folds into a large suitcase-like box. The sofa, weighing only 10 kg, can be carried from place to place and can also be shaped into various forms. Going to the beach? A comfy chair is passé; take a couch.

The couch is made of green and environmentally friendly materials. It was launched recently but has not yet been distributed to retail stores worldwide. It was designed, of course, using artificial intelligence. At this stage, it is unclear when it will be commercially launched and how much it will cost.
