Israeli designers Raw Edges collaborated with Cozmo and Kornit Digital to create Home Sweet Home, a collection printed with digital technology, offering innovative textile solutions.

Israeli designers Raw Edges started working in October on an interchangeable cover collection for seating systems inspired by "Home Sweet Home," entirely produced with digital printing. "It helped us cope with the feelings of pain and sorrow over the events of October 7th."

Cozmo, the British furniture startup, launches an "optimistic" textile collection designed by Israeli designers Raw Edges and printed using digital printing technology. The collection, named "Home Sweet Home," features naive and sentimental depictions of houses with red roofs and picturesque rural landscapes. The collection includes throw pillows, curtains, and interchangeable covers for the Cozmo sofa.

"We started working on the collection in October when the war began," say Shay Alkalay and Yael Mer, founders of Raw Edges. "We really wanted to do something optimistic, and we started thinking about the song 'Beautiful Israel Blooms' and with this inspiration, we sketched water, trees, a bridge, and a road, and it developed from there. This creative process helped us cope with the feelings of pain and sorrow over the events of October 7th."

This is Kornit's second collaboration with the online brand Cozmo, which was first launched in London in 2022 and received success and acclaim from clients and leading media outlets such as Wallpaper Magazine, AD, Elle Decoration, House & Garden, and more. Cozmo offers innovative and customizable furniture, including a modular sofa that can be personalized with interchangeable covers, allowing customers to change the sofa's appearance within minutes. The new collection was launched at the iconic Coal Drops Yard venue in Tom Dixon's gallery in central London and included a launch video by the prestigious design magazine Dezeen, tracing the inspiration and design process of the collection. The collection was designed by Shay Alkalay and Yael Mer, graduates of Bezalel and RCA, who founded their design studio in London in 2007 and are considered leading designers in the international scene.

Kornit Digital, the world's leading producer of sustainable on-demand digital textiles, provided the innovative technology that enabled this collaboration. With the Kornit Presto MAX solution, designers can create and experiment without limitations, in a single-step printing process. The solution provides excellent quality and a wide range of colors, including neon colors and the ability to use white ink on colored or dark fabrics at the highest quality. Printing with Presto MAX ensures designers can produce fabrics with the softest touch and high durability for both interior and exterior design applications.

Additionally, Kornit Digital's technology ensures production without excess inventory or unnecessary storage, as there is no need for minimum quantities. Kornit's solution, which is not based on pigment ink, requires no additional treatment beyond printing itself and guarantees reduced water and energy consumption, perfectly aligning with Cozmo's commitment to sustainability.

Jacob Peres, Co-Founder of Cozmo, said: "Collaborating with Kornit embodies Cozmo's commitment to design, innovation, and sustainability, allowing us to present uncompromisingly radical design without the commitment to printing thousands of meters of fabric using outdated and polluting technologies. This partnership represents a fusion of creativity and technology, offering customers the opportunity to bring colorful and vibrant textiles, digitally printed, into their homes while minimizing environmental impact."

Scott Walton, Head of Business Development, Global Brands, Kornit Digital, commented: "We are thrilled about this collaboration, which highlights the exciting opportunities in digital textile production. 'Home Sweet Home' is a brilliant collection that pushes the boundaries of home design while remaining true to our existing commitment. We are delighted that Kornit's technology empowers brands and creators, enabling them to express their creativity and vision through on-demand digital printing according to demand."

The new collection can be found on the Cozmo website.
