The Nemo Nanomaterials company from Israel, which developed additives that give plastic the property of electrical conductivity, increases production capacity.

Nemo Nanomaterials, an Israeli technology company that supplies additives to industry based on nanomaterials, unveils a production line with an annual output of 50 tons of NemoBLEND additives developed by the company. The additives, based on carbon nanotubes (SWCNT), serve two main purposes: imparting an electrical conductivity property to the plastic, and providing electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection to protect sensitive electronic devices from interference. Also, in light of the demand for the product in Europe, the company plans to establish another production line that will be launched in the first quarter of 2025 and will have a production capacity of hundreds of tons per year.

The additives can be produced in large volumes and incorporated into a wide variety of plastic parts, enabling improved performance and sustainability in products used in aircraft, trains, electric vehicles and other applications. NemoBLEND additives are ready for use in the normal production processes of plastics and they will open up new possibilities in terms of design, advanced functionality, reducing the weight of products and improving sustainability.

In light of the growing demand in the US and Europe for additives, Nemo plans to establish within a year of the establishment of the new line a production plant with several lines in Israel and then additional plants in areas where there will be significant demand for the product. The planned production line will serve manufacturers of raw materials for the transportation and energy industries. The intellectual property of The company consists of a unique production technology and special components for which the company has already submitted two patent applications and is preparing several more applications.

Most of the demand in Europe was created through a strategic collaboration between Nemo and Kafarit Group, a leading international producer of concentrates for the plastic industry. The two companies signed a cooperation agreement that includes an investment by Kfarit in Nemo and in this framework combine forces in the marketing of Nemo products.

Alexander Zinigrad, CEO of Nemo Nanomaterials: "We produce different types of additives adapted to a variety of industries and applications. The new production line to be built in Petah Tikva will specialize in thermoplastic materials and serve a variety of requirements in the industry."

Nemo Nanomaterials was founded by Alexander Zinigrad (CEO) and Jonathan Antebi (VP of Business Development). The company, which is about to enter the B fundraising round, was established to bridge the gap between the potential of advanced nanocarbons to dramatically improve properties of most industrial materials, and the actual application. The use of nanomaterials significantly optimizes industrial processes, starting with the reduction of energy consumption in the production process, through the reduction of the environmental pollution created by the process, and ending with increasing the efficiency and improving the properties of each raw material.
