WhatsApp will soon prompt you to chat with contacts you have long ignored, aiming to reconnect users with neglected connections in the app's new feature.

Caution: Soon WhatsApp may turn off and offer you to reconnect with contacts you have ignored for a long time. One of the app development version tracking sites updates that it has noticed the new feature that appears in the contact list.

According to the report, the app will offer you interactions with contacts with whom you have never interacted in any way, or with whom you have had little communication. The goal is to make you create new connections with people whose existence you forgot. It is not yet clear whether there will be an option to cancel this sway other than to make the contact disappear or block it.

The innovation is one of many that Meta is working on. Last month we reported that WhatsApp is working on creating tabs that will separate contact groups from contacts, so that there will be faster access to preferred contacts. WhatsApp is also expected to launch an option to send messages to other applications, and to use the application on tablets as well.

During the development, Meta is going through difficult weeks: no less than four huge disruptive events have occurred since the beginning of March in which the WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook applications were silenced. Meta did not comment on the cause of the disruptions, the last of which lasted several hours.
