Dana Harel unveils: 2025 bridal collection at New York Fashion Week
2025 brings a new breeze? With Dana Harel, expect surprises every time.
Dana Harel's new bridal collection is exceptionally sophisticated and innovative, with fashion statements we've been eagerly awaiting.
Inspired by ancient Roman and Greek culture, Harel named the collection "Gaia." In Greek mythology, Gaia is the mother of the Earth, reflected in her designs by using the material itself as the centerpiece.
In Harel's collection, everyone will find themselves. She crafts a diverse range of styles in one collection, as we love. From clean and elegant styles to more trendy and bold, there's a wide range of cuts, fabrics, and textures. Whatever you choose, Harel's unique touch will shine through.
In her new collection, Harel offers shorter dresses suitable for a casual second look or a Friday afternoon wedding. For example, a dress made of delicate rope threads with crystals, incredibly impressive and fitting perfectly, alongside smooth and clean long dresses with a twist or a more dramatic and bold design, such as the pearl-embellished dress with precise and contemporary tailoring.
It's impossible not to notice the investment and planning in each design, the attention to details and high-quality materials, alongside Harel's special twist while maintaining a clean and effortless look. Harel chose to approach the work process differently, taking a multitude of fabrics and materials and challenging herself while in motion, feeling them and letting them lead her. She wanted to see what would come out at the end of the process and surrendered to the movement and fall of the fabric.
Since the fabric's movement plays a significant role in creating each design, she creates an impressive sculptural range. Harel shares that the process with each design was complex, especially working with the shrunken weave with silk tulle. Handling the fabric was extremely challenging; Harel essentially pushed the fabric's properties to their maximum, attempting to freeze the fabric and create a different look, a sort of clay, freezing the movement to see how it looks and thus creating an innovative and non-standard texture, which required a lot of planning and not simple work techniques.
The result: an impressive, highly dynamic and interesting collection that brings creativity to the forefront, with very non-classical use of fabrics, creating a refreshing and original look that you can't take your eyes off.
