Norwegian Cruise Line's new routes set for summer
Experience Europe's 2024 cruise season with Norwegian Cruise Line, exploring 140 ports of call across Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Greek Isles, and the Atlantic coast.
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) launched its 2024 European travel season with the arrival of the Norwegian Epic at its seasonal homeport in Civitavecchia, Italy.
Throughout the summer travel season, guests embarking on NCL cruises in Europe will have the opportunity to choose from 101 unique itineraries with 38 roundtrip voyages and 63 voyages commencing from one port and concluding in another, calling at 140 ports of call across Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Greek Isles, and the Atlantic coast.
In addition, guests can fully explore major destinations such as Istanbul, Turkey; Livorno (Florence), Italy; and Reykjavik, Iceland with selected itineraries offering overnight stays. The voyages depart from 13 home ports including New York City; Le Havre (Paris), France; and Oslo, Norway, providing three entirely new options for NCL voyages to Europe. The company will have a total of nine ships in the region, including its newest and most innovative vessels, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, as well as Norwegian Escape, returning to Europe after its successful 2022 debut season.
With an average of 10 hours in port, guests can explore at their leisure or choose from a wide range of shore excursions designed to provide an in-depth experience of each destination. Norwegian Star sailing to Iceland, Greenland, and Canada
Norwegian Star, the only ship in NCL's award-winning fleet equipped for navigating the Arctic Circle, allowing it to reach ports above the Arctic Circle. Therefore, the ship will be the first in NCL's fleet to offer a new summer series of breathtaking voyages rich in ports of call ranging from 12 to 14 days between New York and Reykjavik, Iceland, with stops in Akureyri and Grundarfjörður, Iceland; Qaqortoq, Greenland; and St. John's (Newfoundland) and Halifax, Canada. These itineraries will set sail in July and August 2024.
Norwegian GetawayNorwegian Getaway will depart for Athens (Piraeus), Greece, on June 25th and embark on roundtrip voyages of seven to ten days in the Greek Isles. Each day, the ship will dock at a new port allowing guests to explore desirable destinations such as Istanbul, Turkey; Heraklion, Santorini, and Mykonos, Greece, as well as the hidden gem of Izmir (Ephesus), Turkey. Select departures include an overnight stay in Istanbul, providing guests with over 24 hours to visit Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace, and the Grand Bazaar.
Norwegian Viva to the MediterraneanFrom May to November 2024, the new ship will be offering guests a selection of 9, 10, and 11-day voyages with different embarkation and disembarkation ports in the Mediterranean, including Athens (Piraeus), Greece; Lisbon, Portugal; and Venice (Trieste) and Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy, allowing travelers to plan an extended vacation before or after the cruise.
Norwegian EscapeNorwegian Escape, the largest ship in the fleet, will be in Europe for the season, offering roundtrip voyages of eight to ten days in the Western Mediterranean, calling at sun-drenched ports every day, as well as seven to eleven-day voyages with stops in Italy, Greece, and France with only one day at sea.
Additionally, NCL cruises in Europe are already available for sale until December 2025, giving guests the opportunity to plan and book their next summer vacation early.
