Bezeq launches cutting-edge Wi-Fi 7 router
Wi-Fi 7, the next generation of Wi-Fi, promises superior stability and data transfer speeds three times higher than current market standards.
Bezeq has introduced, for the first time in Israel, an innovative router supporting the advanced Wi-Fi 7 standard worldwide. Bezeq is among the first companies globally to launch the next generation of Wi-Fi, providing speeds three times or more higher than existing market standards. In Israel, Bezeq is the first to introduce the advanced standard and the only one in the country offering a comprehensive Wi-Fi router solution.
The launch of the advanced Wi-Fi is based on the innovative Be Multi Fiber router. In addition to wireless internet, this router offers the option of wired connection with speeds of up to 5 gigabits. As part of a pilot conducted by the company, the router was installed in dozens of homes. Wi-Fi 7 can support a stable connection of up to 300 devices simultaneously, providing an excellent browsing, gaming, and streaming experience. The router includes built-in cyber protection against DDoS and phishing attacks, as well as Anti-Bot protection. We installed the new router at home to evaluate the results ourselves.
Those who prefer wireless gaming will find the new router essential – not only does the speed not falter anywhere in the house, but the stability during gameplay is exceptional. This also applies to watching movies in very high quality. In our tests with supported devices, we achieved the promised maximum speed throughout the house.
The router supports 5GHz, 2.4GHz, and 6GHz frequencies and features Multi Link Operation (MLO), allowing it to operate on multiple Wi-Fi frequencies simultaneously. Additionally, it has a 320MHz data transfer bandwidth on the 6GHz frequency for exceptionally high speeds over the wireless network.
The router is based on Broadcom's most advanced chip set in the world, the BCM68880, featuring a 10Gb wired network connection for high speeds, and four additional 1Gb wired network connections. The new router was designed in Israel and continues the line of Be routers, making it a decorative item. It is Bezeq's first router designed in black with wood.
Following the launch, Bezeq's Marketing Vice President, Tali Poleg, stated: "Wi-Fi 7 is a gateway to a new world, expanding the possibilities of home internet usage. Especially today, as Bezeq has already established its position as the leading fiber network in Israel, it is important for us to bring the next generation of Wi-Fi when it is ripe and make future technologies accessible to our customers. We expect to see various devices supporting high speeds and Wi-Fi 7 in the near future, and Bezeq's responsibility is to prepare today for the growing needs of our customers."
