Autotalks launches new V2X product line
New technology to protect cyclists and e-scooter riders from road accidents. The TEKTON3-BIKE chipset simplifies V2X integration, reducing development time and costs.
Autotalks, a global leader in V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communication solutions based in Kfar Netter, has launched a new series of products aimed at protecting vulnerable road users. The product line is designed to significantly reduce the number of accidents involving cyclists and e-scooter riders, addressing the critical issue that in 75% of these accidents, drivers did not notice the riders.
TEKTON3-BIKE is the third generation of the System on Chip (SoC) specifically adapted to tackle the challenges faced by cyclists and e-scooter riders. This new product line will help bicycle manufacturers offer their customers the most advanced accident prevention technology while minimizing development efforts and costs. The chipset is equipped with software that provides alerts in scenarios such as the risk of a collision at intersections and the risk of a rear-end collision, supporting all global standards.
Based on the TEKTON3-BIKE chipset, Autotalks is launching ZooZ3, the third generation of safety devices for cyclists. These devices can be easily installed on bicycle handlebars to provide riders with danger alerts. ZooZ3 is intended for large-scale pilots and as a reference design. Additionally, users can download the ZooZ app to their smartphones. Cyclists will receive real-time alerts on their mobile screens and can quickly respond to any hazards. The V2X app connects to dedicated bicycle devices equipped with the TEKTON3-BIKE chipset.
Hagai Zyss, CEO of Autotalks, said, “We are excited to present our solutions for protecting cyclists and e-scooter riders based on the third generation of our chipset. The vision of zero accidents can only be realized if we also protect them. Therefore, we integrate them into the V2X network and developed a ready-to-implement product line that addresses all their needs at an attractive price.”
Autotalks helps reduce road accidents and improve traffic flow through its chipset systems. V2X is the only vehicle sensor capable of providing information about other vehicles or road users that are hidden, even around corners or behind obstacles, in adverse weather, or poor lighting conditions. The technology significantly enhances overall road safety by connecting regular vehicles, autonomous cars, motorcycles, and pedestrians. Recently, Autotalks launched its third-generation chipset, the only one that supports 5G-V2X communication, even alongside traditional DSRC communication. The new chipset paves the way for future V2X capabilities by enabling automatic braking based on V2X and advanced Day2 V2X applications.
Due to these capabilities, Autotalks has been selected as a platform supplier for mass production by 14 car manufacturers (OEMs) and one electric bicycle company, securing deals that have resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars in orders.
