This holiday season, we’ve handpicked standout products: a perfect lipstick, affordable hair care, an outstanding concealer, a shared fragrance, and a unique mascara.

We’ve previously raved about Clinique’s legendary Black Honey, which somehow suits every skin tone, looks great in any light, and is highly moisturizing. The new summer version achieves the same but in a pleasant, healthy pinkish-red that we can’t stop wearing.

MAC’s excellent mascara arrives this summer in chestnut brown, ideal for those who prefer a no-makeup makeup look. Anyone who lived through the 90s remembers the colorful mascaras of that era with a shudder, but this time, it’s the opposite effect: more subtle and soft than black mascaras, less dramatic, and especially suitable for fair complexions, but not exclusively. All other features remain the same as the original product – an excellent brush and a clump-free, non-flaking formula.

Another winning fragrance we found in the men's section: this time, it’s the premium collection from BOSS, which stands several leagues above the brand’s conventional scents in terms of creativity. Each scent echoes masculine clothing items and different types of fabric. The perfume we tried, Daring Saffiano, references black leather, slightly spicy, somewhat smoky, and very unique – and it lasted well even through the first heatwaves of summer.

HASK, the American hair care brand, offers another successful product at a reasonable price. This time, it’s a shampoo and conditioner containing biotin, collagen, and caffeine, promising to strengthen hair and give it a fuller look. We wouldn’t swear by the added volume, but the shampoo cleans thoroughly without drying out. The conditioner left the hair calm and easy to style, and the scent of all this goodness is clean and especially gentle – everything we wanted and more.

YSL’s new concealer is so rich in pigments that it’s tempting to declare a minimalism challenge where we abandon foundation for a moment. Assuming the skin doesn’t need extra coverage, we’ll use only this. A few light touches and quick blending are entirely sufficient for durable, non-cakey coverage of dark circles under the eyes and other blemishes. It’s long-lasting, matte, and perfect for summer.
