Instagram continues to innovate in the realm of Stories by developing a new interactive sticker called "PALS (Friends)," announced renowned engineer and leaker Alessandro Paluzzi on his X account. This new sticker enables users to raise a virtual pet in their Story by accumulating likes, reminiscent of the beloved 1990s virtual pet, the Tamagotchi.
The concept is simple yet addictive: after adding the sticker to your Story, your virtual pet (a cat, dog, dinosaur, or dragon) starts as a small, adorable baby. As more people like your Story, your virtual pet will grow and evolve.

As with any feature in development, the social network did not comment on the leak, and it is unknown when it will be available to all users on the platform.
Last month, Instagram announced a new ranking process aimed at giving all creators an equal chance to highlight their content in recommended Reels for users. Creators will receive notifications when Instagram recommends their original content. This means that original, quality content can stand out even if the creator doesn’t have a huge following.
