Discover the luxurious new retreat near Athens' riviera
Luxury glamping with private pools opens near Athens, costs less than Eilat hotels.
Luxury Tent with a Private Pool: On June 15, just before the influx of Israeli tourists to the Greek islands, a particularly luxurious glamping site named 91 Athens Riviera will open by the seaside. This marks the second glamping site of its kind to launch this year, following the opening of Domes Novos on the island of Santorini last month.
Each of the 28 tents (though calling these luxurious accommodations "tents" seems modest) includes a super king bed and an outdoor wooden deck with either a private pool or a lush garden. The beach is just a few steps away from the glamping tents.
Introductory Rates for the QuickAnd the prices? The most basic tents (with a garden but no pool) start at €447 per night for two adults. If you’re keen on having your own private pool, prices begin at €514 per night. A family pavilion (four plus an infant) with a deep pool starts at €604 per night. This is still cheaper than a night at some of Eilat's luxury hotels.
However, these are introductory rates and are expected to rise in the coming days. During the launch period, guests will receive a bottle of wine, a fruit basket, and more in their tent. The site also features a beachside restaurant named Barbarossa, serving Mediterranean dishes with Asian influences. Additionally, by the pool, you can order and enjoy cocktails and dishes from the restaurant's kitchen.
Moreover, the site houses a spa named Soma, offering a sauna, hammam, treatment rooms, sunrise yoga sessions, sunset Pilates, and gyms with personal trainers. There are also tennis courts with personal instructors.
Athens in 25 MinutesAnother significant advantage of the site is its proximity to numerous attractions in Athens. For instance, the famous Acropolis, the view from Mount Lycabettus (accessible by cable car), and of course, the city's beautiful neighborhoods, offering various bars and restaurants. It's noteworthy that the Athens Riviera area is just a 25-minute metro ride from the city center.
The SUN reports that by 2026, the luxurious Ellinikon resort is expected to open in Athens, with comparisons being drawn to the scale and opulence of resorts in Dubai. The project costs about €8 billion. This ambitious resort will be built on the site of a former major airport and will include hotels, shopping centers, a vast park, restaurants, and a yacht marina.
