The Product

A study conducted at the University of Pennsylvania found that men who shaved their heads were perceived as stronger, taller, more dominant, and possessing leadership qualities compared to men with full or thinning hair.

Global brand "Remington," marketed in Israel by Sarig Electric, presents the new ULTIMATE RX7 head shaving machine, model XR1600, specially developed for bald heads. The machine adjusts to all scalp types, allowing for a quick shave in minutes, even on the go with a USB cable for charging and use anywhere and anytime, simply achieving a well-maintained bald look effortlessly and without mess.

The shaving machine boasts TURBO SPEED for quick shaving - just two minutes of operation. It offers 30% more flexibility to adapt to the scalp shape, enabling a close shave of 0.2mm, full water resistance, a detachable trimmer, a removable cleaning cell, compact and lightweight for easy carrying. It provides 60 minutes of operation after a full charge and includes a storage case.

Review

So here's the deal: before I knew about this machine, I shaved once a week. Since I've known it, I shave my head every other day.

Sounds more complicated and difficult, right?

So, not really. I wasn't aware of the difference between a hair clipper and a head shaving machine. A hair clipper, as its name suggests, is designed to cut hair, with all the mess and hassle around it. A shaving machine simply shaves the few remaining hair roots and smoothens them out. The highlight of this machine is its five flexible heads that allow for shaving smoothly, comfortably, and without scratches or injuries - and that's very, very significant.

The machine is very easy to operate and clean and unlike hair clippers, it comes without many accompanying products, making the entire setup convenient and less cumbersome. I did notice a drawback when shaving around the beard area, where I couldn't achieve a perfect result and had to finish with foam and a razor (yes, I know, the machine is meant for the head, but if so, you know).

Either way, this machine taught me that instead of growing partial hair, you can simply be fully bald. Truly thankful for that.

Verdict

A few months ago, I organized my parents' closet and found a Remington machine that I received towards my recruitment in 1992. Despite being over 30 years old, it worked perfectly, albeit with outdated technology suitable for that time. Since then, I've had an admiration for the brand.

With or without connection, the XR1600 changed my hair trimming habits, which have become cleaner and more economical (when I didn't have the energy, and usually I didn't, I went to the barber). Not many devices can claim to have changed your life. For me, at least, this device is highly, highly recommended, even if the price (aside from the NIS 399 you'll pay for it) is worth recognizing that if you have no hair, no flights to Turkey - it's just you and your bald head. And the Remington XR1600, of course.
