We found the dressers that will upgrade any space and drop jaws
No matter if you’re a minimalist or maximalist, finding the perfect dresser was never easy—until now.
Finding the ideal dresser for your space has always been a challenge, whether you lean minimalist or maximalist in your design preferences. Fortunately, the times have changed.
Unlike sofas and other large furniture pieces that are readily available everywhere, dressers have never received the attention they deserve. They can set the tone for the entire room, enhancing the style and offering practical storage solutions.
On a recent visit to KARE's showroom in Rishon Lezion (Moshe Levi 11, UMI Building), I discovered a design wonderland filled with various styles, including the most stunning dressers I've found in Israel. Since I couldn't take them all, I selected a few that will transform any space and offer practical tips on choosing the perfect one that is both functional and a conversation piece, providing the wow factor for any room.
1. Assess Storage Needs:Before selecting a dresser, evaluate your storage needs based on the room’s function. Determine whether drawers, shelves, or a combination of both will best serve the space. Optimize storage by choosing dressers with deep drawers for bulkier items and shallow drawers for smaller accessories.
2. Functionality in Design:Ensure the dresser's functionality matches the room’s purpose. In bedrooms, prefer dressers with ample surface space to display personal items or decorative accents. Consider features like soft-close drawers or dividers to enhance convenience and organization.
3. Cohesive Color Palettes:Choose the dresser's color to complement the room’s existing palette for a unified aesthetic. In monochromatic spaces, select dressers in shades that subtly complement or contrast the dominant hue. For colorful rooms, pick dressers that act as accent pieces, contributing to the room's vibrant atmosphere.
4. Choosing Texture and Materials:Create visual interest through texture by pairing smooth surfaces with rough textures or glossy finishes with matte elements. Incorporate materials such as wood, glass, metal, or leather to add depth to the style. Combine different textures to enrich the room’s tactile experience and ambiance.
5. Scale and Proportion:Consider the size of the dresser relative to the room’s dimensions and other furniture. Avoid overcrowding smaller spaces with oversized dressers and ensure there’s ample space around the dresser for easy access.
6. Strategic Placement:Position the dresser strategically within the room to optimize functionality and aesthetic impact. Place it against a focal wall or next to complementary furniture like a mirror or an armchair. Aim for an arrangement that facilitates practical use while enhancing the room’s overall flow and coherence.
