Carrefour, the international retail giant, is expanding its footprint in Israel by opening 5 new branches within a week, including 4 in Tel Aviv. With these new openings, Carrefour will have 97 branches across the country.
The new branches are located in various neighborhoods and key locations: Neot Afeka, 15 Lea Goldberg St. in Tel Aviv, Tzahala at 2 Mevo Grufit St. corner of Weisburg 17 in Tel Aviv, Park Hayarkon at 7 Shalom Ash St. in Tel Aviv, and a new Carrefour Hyper branch—the 7th in the country—situated in the industrial area of Tel Mond.
Additionally, a new branch opened last Thursday at the TLV Mall. Moti Ben-Moshe, the owner of TLV Mall, participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Recently, Carrefour, controlled by Electra Consumer Products, extended its leasing agreements for its branches with Blue Square Real Estate, owned by Ben-Moshe, for an additional 15 years.
Michael Lubushitz, Deputy CEO of Carrefour, stated, "We continue our growth momentum, working to open more Carrefour branches in Israel to provide a European-standard shopping experience that is enjoyable and cost-effective. In the coming months, we will introduce hundreds more Carrefour brand products to Israel, in addition to the 1,500 products already available in our stores."
