Avia warehouse reports a 100% surge in demand for storage facilities due to relocation, with 10% of customers renting for relocating abroad on May 24, up from 5% on May 23.

An analysis of the reasons why Israelis use storage facilities recently, shows that there is a significant increase in storage following relocation. This is according to data published by Avia warehouse, the leading company in Israel in the self-storage industry.

According to the company's data, the proportion of customers renting storage facilities due to moving to another country was 10% on May 24, compared to only 5% on May 23.

Michael Poraz, the marketing director of the Avia warehouse company, explains the phenomenon: "Beyond the usual reasons for relocation, we recognize that the protracted war in Israel, together with the ability of many workers to perform their work remotely online, has strengthened the trend of leaving the country temporarily. Many see This is an opportunity to combine work in a safer place with a life experience and a trip. Many of those leaving for relocation rent storage rooms in order to keep their personal and family belongings in Israel while staying abroad."

In order to save on storage costs, in Avia recommends not storing white furniture and electrical appliances, which take up a lot of space, and suggests that customers sell or even give them away, and buy new ones after returning to Israel. Other reasons why Israelis rent storage rooms are: transitions between apartments (63%), overcrowding in the house (14%), renovation (5%), business storage (8%) and, as mentioned, relocation(10%).
