Beer & donations to IDF soldiers: Special tribute on International Beer Day
On August 2 for International Beer Day, TivTaam & Jems Brewery launch Jem's IDF beer, with 10% profits supporting IDF soldiers injured by iron swords.
On Friday, August 2, we will celebrate International Beer Day around the world. We will also mark the day when bars and shops across the country will offer a variety of specials for beer lovers.
This year, when the celebrations are taking place at the height of the war, the TivTaam chain is launching a special collaboration with the Israeli brewery Gems, as part of which they are launching a special edition beer. The beer is called Jem's IDF - as a tribute to the soldiers of the IDF. Also, as part of the collaboration, it was decided that 10% of the profits of the new beer will be donated to the rehabilitation of IDF soldiers, victims of the Iron Swords War, in cooperation with the Israeli Typing Association.
The new beer is based on the most popular flavor in Israel, dark lager, with 5% alcohol. It is light and has balanced flavors. The beer is made from natural ingredients, not pasteurized and without preservatives. It will currently be marketed in the TivTaam network at a price of NIS 15.90 per unit and on sale for 2 units for NIS 25.90 (NIS 16.50 for a single beer in City branches).
In addition, in the alcohol department of the chain, there will be new launches of beers and complementary products, events, discounts and special offers during August. For example: 4 cans of beer of the Belgian brand Martens will be sold for NIS 20.90 (instead of NIS 24.90).
According to Yossi Shalio, TivTaam's VP of Trade: "The TivTaam chain operates wide alcohol departments in the chain's major branches, which includes a huge variety of wines, alcohol products and beer per issue, with the chain marketing more than 500 different beer products in all types of packaging and sizes. The beers are selected, high quality and include different types and flavors from Israel and around the world: Germany, Spain, Czech Republic, Russia, Austria, USA, Eastern Europe and more."
Daniel Alon, CEO of Gems: "We are very excited to launch this special beer, which also expresses our appreciation for the soldiers of the IDF and the security forces, and also our way of making the world of Israeli craft beers accessible to the general public. Gems IDF is A lager beer in the popular style in Israel, easy to drink and very balanced in terms of flavors, so it will be very suitable for Israeli beer lovers."
