A survey by Shiluv I2R among 7 northern chain branches shows Salah Dabbah and Sons as the cheapest, with a NIS 400 difference from the priciest. All details revealed.

In the northern region preparations continue for Rosh Hashanah, and despite the security situation quite a few families will celebrate the holiday in the Galilee region. All this, while the cost of living continues to hit us.

Shiluv I2R, one of the leading survey and market research institutes in Israel, conducted a shopping basket test in the first week of September on a list of 47 products in seven branches of different chains: Rami Levy in Acre, Victory in Kiryat Motzkin, Shufersal Deal in Kiryat Bialik, Yochananof in the Chutzot Haforetz complex in Haifa, Stop Market In Kiryat Ata, the market warehouses in Nesher and Salah Dabbah and Sons in Ein Hamfaretz.

All purchases were made by combination reviewers, and they made the following findings:

  • The average cost of the shopping basket is NIS 1,172.
  • The cheapest branch of the chain is Saleh Dabah and Sons Ein Hamfaretz - NIS 881.
  • In the Nesher Market warehouses is the most expensive shopping basket - NIS 1,291 - a difference of NIS 410 from the cheapest basket.
  • Promotions were taken into account with the exception of club membership and credit card promotions
  • It should be noted that these are data referring to the branches that were checked only and not to the chain prices as a whole.
