"Chocolate Tap" in Yotvata opens to the public
Yotvata's "Chocolate Tap" continues its tradition, offering free cold chocolate and an engaging activity zone until the end of August. This year, the tap will also reach security forces and evacuees.
This marks the sixth year that Yotvata has hosted the "Chocolate Tap" event, inviting everyone to enjoy a delightful chocolate experience straight from the tap, free of charge. In addition to unlimited chocolate, children can enjoy a fun activity area featuring stunning photo booths, refreshing facilities, and interactive activities. The event runs until August 29, 2024, from 08:00 to 16:00.
The "Chocolate Tap" is located next to the large, air-conditioned Yotvata Inn, a great stopping point on the way to Eilat where you must stop for a meal and a drink. There, you’ll find a rich and varied buffet with kosher meat and dairy meals, a salad bar, sandwiches, toasts, and even a drinks bar featuring Yotvata's chocolate. Don’t miss the fresh Italian gelato, made every morning in the inn’s production room. With over 100 flavors, all made from milk and cream sourced directly from the nearby Yotvata Dairy, which you can visit to see for yourself. The gelato contains no preservatives or eggs, no flavor enhancers, and is made from natural ingredients only, truly among the best we've tasted.
This year, the mobile "Chocolate Tap" will also reach security forces and evacuated residents. In light of the challenging times we are all experiencing, the tap has ventured outside the kibbutz for the first time. This initiative is designed to bring chocolate to security forces and evacuated residents across the country, aligning with the values of community, Israeli spirit, and humanity upheld by Yotvata Dairy, located in a pioneering, values-driven kibbutz that has hosted many evacuees and serves the community in both peacetime and during conflicts.
Karin Lakser, Yotvata's Marketing Manager, stated: "Yotvata's chocolate is one of the most beloved, nostalgic, and iconic products among Israelis, and we are thrilled to celebrate and present it to the public through the traditional Chocolate Tap celebrations. Each year, around 100,000 visitors attend the Chocolate Tap celebrations, and this time, we will celebrate our love for the drink with engaging activities, including stunning photo booths, facilities, and interactive fun for the public. This year, we decided it is important to reach those who cannot participate in our annual summer event, including security forces and evacuated residents, to honor their contributions and ensure everyone can enjoy."
