The rustic design brings us back to nature. The hectic everyday life takes a heavy toll on us, and when we return home we want to feel like we've returned to our warm and cozy haven. The rustic style, which is characterized by warmth, softness and a natural look, gives us exactly the peace of mind and peace that we often long for. Here are the advantages of a country-style space:
• Design from natural materials that blend together harmoniously such as glass, wrought iron, bricks, Jerusalem stone and other materials.
• Connection with nature - due to the warmth of the wood and the additional raw materials combined with it, you can enjoy a pleasant and enveloping design.
• Vacation feeling - a living room decorated in a rustic style is very reminiscent of the style of many B&Bs. A refuge for families and loving couples who want to change atmosphere and escape to the peace and nature. Now, you will have it right in your home.
• Design that you never get tired of - rustic design is one that you never tire of, thanks to the softness and delicacy of the design, which creates an atmosphere of calm and peace in the space.
• Comfort - rustic design is based on comfort and a sense of pleasantness, therefore it will often be combined with soft and inviting textiles such as cotton, linen, velvet and wool, and many spacious seating areas.
What styles of country style are there?
Country style is a very defined style with very clear visibility. There is a refined and soft style and there is a "heavier" style, which looks "rustic". Let's expand on the different styles:
Refined rustic style
In the light country style in its shades, which will usually be based on the romantic shades of cream, you can find a fabric sofa in shades of beige with matching pillows, which blend in with the current shades and do not create a contrast. The coffee table is made of beige rattan, a light oak chandelier and armchairs in shades of cream or light beige, next to which will be placed a cream rattan side table. If there is a fireplace, it will usually be around a white wall with a light marble surround. Combining furniture such as a sideboard for the living room will be in shades of white wood with delicate iron handles also painted in vintage style.
The floor will be made of light parquet on which you can combine a carpet in a cream shade, windows with a light oak wood finish and delicate white curtains, while the ceiling will usually have a design that combines wooden beams which in this case will have a light shade that will complement the design line of the rest of the living room.
Rustic style
In this style, the wood will be in darker shades, it will usually be combined with wrought iron and will give a rougher look. For the duration, you can design the space with a large and massive sofa made of suede or velvet fabric and decorative pillows made of embroidered fabric with texture.
The coffee table will be made of dark wood also combined with glass in the center, and a wrought iron chandelier that will match the style of the space. You can also combine fabric armchairs in dark shades, next to a wooden side table of course and a standing lamp with a dim shade of light. If you have the option, also invest in a fireplace around which there are prominent bricks such as Jerusalem stone or interesting bricks in dark gray tones.
The floor will be made of dark parquet, Belgian-style windows, and large, heavy curtains, and the ceiling in this case will have dark wood beams to complete the look.
Both styles can be combined with handmade elements such as wool blankets or patches, woven straw baskets with fruits or plants alongside pottery and colored glass, to complete the warm and pleasant atmosphere.
