DECATHLON redefines the cycling industry in Israel
In 2025, DECATHLON will upgrade its running and cycling departments across all 11 stores nationwide.
The commercial and marketing departments of DECATHLON have joined forces to develop a new multichannel strategy aimed at enhancing the running and cycling sectors in its stores throughout Israel. Whether through official sponsorships at professional sporting events or the import of high-end cycling products, DECATHLON is poised to surprise professional cyclists in Israel.
DECATHLON offers over 70 different sports categories under one roof, including cycling. Recently, the company identified a growing demand for more technical products that cater to the needs of professional users and is working across all channels to bring the most advanced cycling equipment and accessories to the country. Last month, DECATHLON and its road bike brand, VAN RYSEL, became the main sponsor for the AG2R LA MONDIALE TEAM, with 30 of its cyclists participating in the 2024 Tour de France. This marks a significant milestone for DECATHLON, providing bicycles to a team competing in the world’s most prestigious road cycling race, alongside a variety of cycling gear such as helmets and eyewear.
DECATHLON is committed to product quality and emphasizes high standards across its offerings. Safety comes first—this philosophy is reflected in all stages of product design and manufacturing. Before reaching stores, products undergo rigorous testing for years in the company’s specialized laboratories in Europe, adhering to the most stringent standards. This allows DECATHLON to offer a lifetime warranty on its bicycle frames, five years for carbon frames, and two years or more for additional accessories.
Making Sports More Accessible
In addition, the company is dedicated to minimizing the environmental impact of its product design and manufacturing processes. One way to achieve this goal is through maintenance and repair services offered to bike owners at its repair workshops located in all its stores across the country. Some repairs are carried out directly in-store, while others require the bicycles to be sent to the main workshop at DECATHLON’s logistics center in the Smart Business Park in Caesarea. The workshop offers a variety of paid repair services: repairs for DECATHLON-branded bicycles as well as those from other brands, tire and inner tube replacements, wheel balancing, axle tightening, handlebar and/or stem replacement, steering system adjustments, chain replacements, gear system servicing packages, and numerous other repairs, along with spare parts.
Vincent Pouchon, DECATHLON's Commercial and Supply Manager, stated: “We are determined to change the way people commute in Israel by offering innovative, high-performance, and sustainable bicycle models. Together, we can build a green and dynamic future for cyclists in Israel, from young beginner riders to professionals.”
With innovative repair workshops and a professional customer service team, DECATHLON is making sports accessible to as many people as possible. All repair services offered by the workshop and the complete price list can be found here.
