Europe at its best? It’s actually in the heart of the country
This is a contractor's apartment that underwent a massive renovation and turned into a design gem in the style of classic Europe. The task was entrusted to interior designer Ronit Shisman.
This 180-square-meter apartment, located in the heart of the country, was designed at the request of its owners, a couple in their 40s and their teenage children, in a classic European style that exudes luxury and the feel of a lavish hotel. In fact, it’s a contractor's apartment that underwent a massive renovation and became a design gem. The task was entrusted to interior designer Ronit Shisman.
According to her, “The wonderful clients gave me free rein with everything in the house, trusting me with their eyes closed.”
The kitchen and living room are the heart of the home. They were designed in a very clean, European style, with light shades. The kitchen features crystal doors with a glossy finish, combined with a showcase with glass shelves and lighting. The island, made of special marble, creates a sense of luxury throughout the space and a pampering atmosphere. The dining area walls are clad in moldings that give an European feel, with a striking mirror at the center. The space is illuminated by natural light coming from the sea, combined with very dominant decorative lighting in shades of gold and brass, enhancing the European feeling.
The master suite is large and indulgent. The entrance to the bedroom is through the closets, designed with a Dulecov, which are combined on one side with opaque brown bronze glass and on the other side with transparent brown bronze glass. These are sliding wardrobes with lighting, shelving, drawers, hanging space, etc. The wardrobes are large, long, and impressive. The room’s floor is covered with fishbone parquet that provides a very nice base for the wardrobe’s color.
Shisman chose to upholster the bed wall with moldings combined with a dominant headboard that provides softness and comfort. The moldings are divided so that the upper center has wall lighting that matches the ceiling lighting. The bed, headboard, and ottoman in a powder shade were designed by OKNIN. The headboard is integrated with upholstery and golden elements that extend up to the ceiling and create a harmonious symmetry in the space. All this is enveloped by a curtain that adds texture and softness to the space.
The bathroom is luxurious and impressive. A tile with golden veins was chosen, which complements the gold on the headboard. It is a large and spacious bathroom, including two sinks with pendant lighting on either side of the sink.
The teenagers' suites are designed with clean lines and continue the European theme of the apartment. Each suite features a special headboard design, combined with lighting and, of course, curtains that add softness to the space. Each suite has a sliding wardrobe integrated with a bronze mirror and an integral handle for opening the mirror, creating a sense of a larger space. In the second suite, the mirror is white. The balcony overlooking the sea includes seating areas for various types of hosting.
