Hailo, based in Tel Aviv, is a leading manufacturer of AI processors for edge devices. They announced that their Hailo-8 AI accelerator, which they developed, will be integrated into vehicles produced by a Chinese automaker, with mass production starting in the second half of 2024.

Chinese autonomous driving solutions provider, iMotion, has chosen the Hailo-8 and the R-Car chip system from Japanese chip giant Renesas to power the iMotion iDC High controller for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving.

The integration of Hailo-8 AI processors within the iMotion controller will effectively and economically enable a wide range of applications in mass-produced vehicles, such as highway driving automation, automatic pilot navigation, automatic parking, and future applications like autonomous city driving.
