It took some time and a lot of work, but the summer popsicle has arrived
Milk substitute, meat substitute and the real thing: New flavors on the shelf celebrated.
You will have to believe us when we say that this is not an easy job, not easy at all. To try out all the new products that come out to the Israeli market (and sometimes outside of it), to taste in front of everyone, deliveries and more deliveries, paper bags that accumulate in the office (and at home), a never-ending feeling of satiety.
Seriously, it's harder than it looks, and no one is paying you to go to the gym, or compensating you for the rapidly developing sense of FOMO in your mind. For all the articles in the "New on the Shelf" section, however, the "New on the Shelf" section, for its tasters, curious and loyal consumers, has set off again, determined and mission-oriented. And this time - milk substitute, meat substitute and the real thing. Yes, we are very eclectic. enjoy your meal!
An icy-hot collaboration between the well-known grape brand and the house of smoothies and desserts produced a dark purple, bright summer surprise. The sable grape popsicle by Tali and Tamara grapes includes 87% fresh grapes of the sweet variety, and provides a real creative kick, with a distinct taste, an excellent sorbet sensation, a mouth-watering fruity sweetness, and a general feeling of "what kind of grape popsicle exactly have we been eating all these years?".

The well-respected Italian brand lands in Israel through the company Ristrato its series of sauce jars, in a move that simultaneously makes you want to fly, and allows you to stay a little longer. Campo d'Oro products come from Sicily, and the series of tomato sauces boasts complex and elaborate recipes based on ten ingredients, and a promise of "an elaborate chef's meal in a few minutes." It includes, for now, four representatives - tomato sauce, ricotta and eggplant (with crushed tomatoes, fried eggplant, olive oil, onion, ricotta cheese, wine and spices), tomato sauce, tuna and fennel (which also includes onion, white wine, virgin olive oil pure, basil and spices), a spicy tomato sauce with hot pepper and Ragusano cheese, as well as a classic sauce, with tomatoes, pure virgin olive oil, basil and spices.
Price: NIS 26 for 300 grams
The jars, without preservatives of course, were opened one by one, meal by meal. The eggplant-ricotta combination went well with the pizza dough and brought out the best of it - fast, efficient, delicious - with a relatively mild eggplant flavor and a less noticeable cheesiness. The tuna and fennel jar went into the pasta pan and worked well with a slight smoky flavor. The spicy version strengthened a rather ordinary shakshuka and made it deeper, and certainly more special.
Instead, the Galilee chicken
The northern chicken company is expanding its range and freezer shelves, entering the world of substitutes for the first time. And this is an entry with a big and sure step. The Instead series of Galilee chicken is produced in the Netherlands by Future Food Group and includes 11 vegan and kosher products, in three categories - meat, chicken, fish - without genetically modified components and with an emphasis on protein.
There are plant-based beef strips (21.5 grams of protein per 100 grams) for stir-frying or as they are, plant-based meatballs (10.8 grams of protein per 100 grams) that are waiting for tomato sauce and white rice from below, plant-based shawarma that was well sautéed in a pan and loaded into a pita of course , a burger (two units, 227 grams) that managed to get close to the original with a good combination of taste and texture, ground from the plant that was cooked as Bolognese and anchored a fun vegetarian meal, chicken strips, schnitzel from the plant, nuggets, fish burger, fish fingers and fish nuggets.

Iced coffee, Alpro
The Strauss brand of milk substitutes is getting ready for the summer with a necessary, required and highly requested launch. It is an oat-based iced coffee drink, ready to drink, with a little caffeine and a surprisingly balanced sweetness. It was whipped with desire on its way to becoming indulgent, blended perfectly naturally into a blender, into a smoothie with bananas, and was at its best just like that, as it is, over ice in a glass (or straight from the carton, you know how it is).
