Kianne Frankfurt launches first collection "Belonging to the Sun"
The debut collection by Kianne, daughter of renowned designer Dorin Frankfurt, showcases 40 modern pieces inspired by local craftsmanship, featuring fall tones and clean, simple designs.
This morning, Kianne Frankfurt, daughter of famed designer Dorin Frankfurt, launched her debut collection under the brand KIANNE. Titled "Belonging to the Sun," the collection consists of 40 pieces that offer a modern interpretation of traditional local craftsmanship, featuring a palette of fall-inspired tones with clean and simple designs—just the way we like it.
The official launch of 40 pieces marks the debut of KIANNE by Kianne Frankfurt. If the last name sounds familiar, you're not mistaken; Kianne is the daughter of Israeli designer Dorin Frankfurt, whose reputation precedes her. Now, the younger Frankfurt is presenting her first collection under the new brand, combining street glam and urban evening styles in monochromatic shades with touches of red. The collection uses natural fabrics, enriched with a variety of intricate lacework.
The Fall 2024 collection features a color palette that resonates with local hues—browns reminiscent of tree trunks and rust, reds and oranges reflecting the sunset over the sea, soft pink for twilight moments, sandy tones symbolizing the desert, charcoal black, and the floating autumn moon. The fabrics and textures are reflected through the collection’s clean and simple lines—crisp cotton against flowing knits, voluminous parachute fabric against delicate lace. Complementing the clothing are crocheted shell jewelry with red thread for good luck, and soft messenger bags adorned with gold chains and wooden beads.
With these new pieces, Kianne Frankfurt's fashion house offers a modern take on traditional local craftsmanship and the external landscape, as viewed through the loving and introspective eyes of her grandfather. “During long, challenging days in December, I sought comfort for the collective and personal broken heart. In my search for hope and answers to endless questions, I kept returning to family photo albums. From them, I saw my grandfather’s perspective on this place, through the lens of his camera. It revealed a beautiful blend of values and dreams, and most of all, his unending love for the texture of the Israeli landscape, its people, and its scenery—the sea, the desert, and the city—ever-changing still life,” she shares.
Kianne describes the collection as “a kind of love letter to local craftsmanship, the people who work within it, and how they are intertwined. Through delving into and reflecting on his wishes and photographs, as a designer, I aim to provide small moments of grace and comfort through this collection. The clothes and accessories are inspired by the local landscape and offer the wearer a gentle and protective embrace.”
The collection will be available on the brand’s online store, with prices as follows:Shirts: NIS 230-490 | Pants: NIS 480-590 | Skirts: NIS 340-600 | Dresses: NIS 800-870 | Jewelry: NIS 300-600 | Bags: NIS 650-850 | Limited Edition: NIS 1,100-1,300.
