McDonald's new explosion ice cream
Excitements, surprises, launches: The tasters of "New on the Shelf" were inaugurated.
You will have to believe us when we say that this is not an easy job, not easy at all.
To try out all the new products that come out to the Israeli market (and sometimes outside of it), to taste in front of everyone, deliveries and more deliveries, paper bags that accumulate in the office (and at home), a never-ending feeling of satiety.
Seriously, it's harder than it looks, and no one is paying you to go to the gym, or compensating you for the rapidly developing sense of FOMO in your mind.
However, the "New on the Shelf" section, about its tasters, its curious and its loyal consumers, is back on the road, determined and mission-oriented. And this time - excitement, surprises, launches. Yes, we are very eclectic.
Marshmallow flavored explosion ice cream, McDonald's
The burger giant's happy annual tradition didn't skip the summer of 2024, providing the cool-pink boost we all need a little bit right now.
McDonald's ice cream, under the explosion series of course (including pistachio, salted pretzel, Italian chocolate and hazelnuts, chocolate and peanuts, strawberry and peanuts, caramel and peanuts and vanilla), mixes in marshmallow flavors and meringue chips, at a price of NIS 18.
The initial fear of over-sweetness quickly dissipated with some proportionality. The texture is still excellent, well placed between soft and thick, and gets interest from the crunchy meringue, and all together is excellent, optimistic and smiling. Price: NIS 18.
Frozen burekas for home baking, Roladin
The popular confectionary chain is expanding shelves and offerings with such a natural and correct move, that it is not left to ask why only now.
These are frozen burekas packages intended for baking in the home oven. The launch includes, for now, puff pastry cheese burekas and spinach and ricotta pastry (NIS 52 for a 700 gram package) both of which require a direct jump from the freezer to the heat, a little patience, and then even more patience, with the exit pulling you like a magnet towards the tray.
The spinach and ricotta pastry is excellent, with a good presence of its two main stars, while the burekas emphasizes the buttery dough, quickly differentiates itself from all kinds of shortcuts accepted in the genre, and is great in its own right.
Cornflakes of champions, Telma
A worthy collaboration between the breakfast cereal brand and the Israeli Disabled Sports Association has spawned a new campaign to encourage children and youth with disabilities to engage in sports.
The packaging shows images of three young athletes and mentors in the form of Paralympic athletes Lihi Ben David, Carolyn Tabib and Yulia Gordiychuk, with the aim of sharing knowledge and conveying the message that regards the physical disability as an insurmountable obstacle to willpower.
Danone PRO Crunch, Strauss
The popular protein brand expands refrigerator shelves with two new flavors, and are definitely in demand.
This is Danone Pro Crunch in milk chocolate and coffee flavor, which are protein-enriched yogurt delicacies (20 grams in a 178 gram package) that emphasize refined sweetness, and increase textural play with chocolate-coated crackers.
The series, which is aimed at those who engage in physical activity and those looking for a little more protein in their lives, stands well on the seam between busyness and fun, closes the hunger corner of four in the afternoon, opens in the morning and definitely responds well to the well-known "something after the workout" craving, with a decidedly moderate sweetness and controlled- Extras.
Apple and berry flavored water, Neviot
The mineral water company responds to Israel's ongoing summer challenge and launches a new, anti-temperature flavor.
This is apple and berry flavored water, which joins the shelf next to its successful friends (apple, peach, grapes and watermelon), with a negligible calorie "price" (15 calories per 100 ml), a delicate taste and an even gentler sweetness - and above all, an impressive mixing ability As part of a summer cocktail, though.
Roasting bags, Kuki
The baking and home kitchen brand raises the bar a little more, launching a classic and traditional product, with one important twist.
Kuki's new roasting bags are like how the hell they haven't done it before, and rely on a smart closure that eliminates the need to puncture the bag to release the steam.
The result is excellent, juicy and full of juice, and works well with chicken of course, but also with vegetables and meat.
