New Pepper app: Foreign currency account, joint account, and mortgage services
Leumi's digital banking platform Pepper will soon offer an enhanced user experience with a broader range of banking products and capital market trading options, previously unavailable on Pepper.
Pepper, Leumi's digital banking platform, has announced the upcoming launch of a new and upgraded app built on advanced technology infrastructure. The new app will provide customers with a more convenient and efficient user experience, alongside a significantly broader range of banking products and services—features that were previously unavailable on Pepper.
Among the new offerings, customers will be able to open a foreign currency account, a joint checking account, and even apply for a mortgage. Additionally, Pepper customers will continue to enjoy fee exemptions for their checking accounts. The app is currently in the final stages of development and is expected to be gradually rolled out in the coming months.
As part of this initiative, Pepper will also introduce a new trading platform for securities called "Trade." Trade is anticipated to be the most innovative and leading securities trading platform within the Israeli banking system, offering a variety of products that were previously inaccessible to Pepper customers. For the first time, Pepper customers will be able to engage in a wide range of trading activities in the Israeli capital market, the U.S. stock market, and other foreign exchanges worldwide. The platform will also offer real-time global market information, pre-market trading in U.S. stocks, detailed analysis of securities portfolios, and more.
Eyal Ben-Haim, Head of the Banking Division at Leumi, stated, "We believe that Pepper, which was established about seven years ago, needs to evolve alongside our customers. The launch of the new app will provide our customers with a more diverse range of banking solutions, enabling them to manage their finances in a way that better suits their needs. The new app will offer a more innovative user experience and open up a new world of banking products, allowing them to manage all their financial activities in one place—more efficiently and based on smart models."
