Resetting your home isn’t just about order, but also creating a pleasant environment that supports your goals and inspires new beginnings.

The Hebrew New Year is approaching, and it's the perfect time to take a step back and give your home a little refresh before the new year begins. Resetting your home for the new year isn't just about maintaining order; it's a golden opportunity to create a pleasant environment that supports your goals and inspires you as you think about new year resolutions.

So, how do you do it? Meni Hazan, Business Development Manager at the Shaniv Sasatech Group, the manufacturer and owner of the Touch and TNX brands, offers some simple tips for organizing your home.

1. Declutter—both in the kitchen and in your heart: Open your cabinets and get rid of items you no longer need. Clothes that no longer fit, toys that are no longer used, and boxes of accumulated items over the years—it's time to let them go. Even if you don't keep them, you can donate or sell them. Organize your shelves and place each item in its unique spot. Storage boxes can be very helpful in managing chaos and maintaining order.

2. Organize the children's room—together: Involve your kids and organize their toys by type—blocks on one side, books on the other. This not only helps maintain order but also makes it easier for children to find and return toys. Sort toys with them into categories, and use colorful boxes since kids love colors. Colorful boxes with labels can help them understand where each item belongs.

3. Upgrade the living room—for comfort and style: Refresh the furniture; if the sofas or armchairs look tired, consider reupholstering them or adding new cushions in colors that suit the new season. Add some greenery—plants can bring new life to any room. Adding green plants to your home can introduce color and freshness.

4. Personal touch—because home is not just a place but a feeling: Give your home a personal touch with family photos or new artworks. This not only enhances the design but also creates a sense of belonging. Change bedding, rugs, and cushions. New textiles can bring new life and energy to your home.

5. Set up workstations: If you have a specific area at home where you work or study, make sure it is organized and ready for productive work in the new year. A desk that is appropriately sized and comfortable to use helps prevent physical issues like back pain or hand fatigue, and keeps your focus on work.
