Revolution in the kitchen: Luxury design meets affordable prices
Units Kitchens has managed to pack luxury kitchens from quality materials into packages with prices that left us speechless.
In an era where every expense counts, Units Kitchens presents a refreshing breakthrough in the kitchen industry in Israel. This is not just a matter of price but a story of passion, smart design, and attention to the smallest details. The goal is clear: to make luxury design accessible at prices anyone can afford.
Units Kitchens offers the perfect combination of quality and affordability while maintaining all the advantages of luxury kitchens. These are modular kitchens built from high-quality materials, including plywood and soft-close hardware, with marble countertops instead of lower-quality substitutes.
The founders of Units Kitchens, Shay and Yael, decided to combat the high cost of living through the kitchen. Shay is an architect specializing in luxury projects, and Yael comes from the marketing and real estate sectors. Their combined experience and expertise created a vision to make luxury design accessible at affordable prices.
Everyone Deserves a Luxury Kitchen
Those familiar with the standard kitchen world know that these designs are not practical, not very attractive, and certainly not creative. These are kitchens seen primarily in rental units, investment apartments, and young couples' homes. The company took the world of standard kitchens and integrated it into luxury kitchens while keeping prices low.
To keep the price low, the kitchens are sold in flat packaging with precise and clear assembly instructions in Hebrew included in each box. Just visit the showroom in Nesher and collect. Thanks to market-breaking prices, even architects, contractors, and designers order Units Kitchens, thus reducing their service costs for their clients. "Of course, delivery and assembly can be ordered," says Yael, "but those who want to save even more can come to us and load their new kitchen onto their car. We have private customers from Tel Aviv, contractors from Ofakim, young couples from Beit Shemesh, architects from Jerusalem, and even from Eilat."
This is how the method works: the process starts with product design in Israel and then moves to production abroad. The finished product arrives in the country in flat packs, ready for self-assembly by the customers. Additionally, installation can be ordered by the company’s teams in a very short time. "The crazy innovation is the ability to buy online," Shay says enthusiastically. "We are bringing technology into a conservative world like the kitchen industry." With a unique software, customers can precisely customize their kitchen, change parameters like color, style, and dimensions, and see in real-time how the kitchen will look and how much it will cost.
Maintaining Prices Despite Rising Costs
Despite the dramatic rise in import prices and a wave of price increases nationwide, Units Kitchens decided not to raise prices. For example, the basic kitchen model Bianco, which sold at the beginning for NIS 2,400 including marble, sink, and VAT, is still sold at that price today.
One of the advantages of Units Kitchens is the ability to tailor the product to customer requirements. "We work with a Lego-like method," Shay explains. "We have software that allows us to make adjustments for customers who want something non-standard as seen on the site, all based on our ready-made modules."
Those who can benefit greatly from Units Kitchens are young couples who won an apartment in a buyer's price program or any other couple buying their first apartment at the beginning of their journey and need an accessible and quality starting point. "When they conduct market research," says Yael, "they will get price quotes that can reach up to NIS 100,000, whereas from us, they will leave with a similar-scale kitchen of excellent quality for a range of NIS 20,000 to NIS 25,000." These prices really change the game. If we usually think that a product that is not expensive is also not of quality, Units proves that this is a mistaken perception.
"The Kitchen Must Be a Beautiful and Pleasant Place"
Units Kitchens places a high emphasis on design. "According to our design love and the audience’s, we like a modern language but also appreciate a meticulous rustic design and a pleasant Nordic design. The kitchen is the heart of the home, it must be a beautiful and pleasant place," says Shay.
Units not only offers attractive prices but also emphasizes sustainability and energy savings. Every product is designed in a way that minimizes waste and protects the environment. "The product comes in precise dimensions so that there is no waste and loss," Yael explains, "and this also ultimately rolls down to the consumer in terms of price."
In addition to private customers, Units also participates in hotel and hospitality projects, such as the Selina project in the Kinneret. "Hotels are places with high turnover, and our kitchens withstand heavy use by many guests," Yael notes. Additionally, Units' modular method allows for high availability and fast stock of spare parts and additions for existing kitchens, should the need arise to replace or enlarge the existing kitchen.
Shay and Yael understand well the importance of design in the kitchen. "We love design," says Yael. "We live design, it’s not just a cliché, and therefore the design aspect is particularly essential in our choices. We believe that when the design is precise, the soul expands. When you come home to a beautiful place that is carefully planned with pleasant design, there is a real sense of calm and happiness in the soul."
The company continues to develop and offer new and exciting products, such as thin wall coverings with an SPC core that do not require construction work. They are intended for self-installation and allow for dust and noise-free, simple and easy installation. The coverings come in natural textures, in ready-made sets cut to size, allowing the customer to stick them directly onto the wall.
The combination of architectural knowledge from the luxury kitchen field with a deep understanding of customer needs creates something new in the kitchen world. Units proves that luxury and quality design do not have to come with a high price tag. Every customer who visits the showroom or orders online knows they are getting the best - not just in the product itself but also in service and support throughout the way. The smart design and excellent service make for a shopping experience that cannot be missed.
