Solution for a photogenic vacation: How to revitalize your hair?
Here are some essential hair styling tips for your holiday, along with expert recommendations for achieving desirable shine and brilliance.
The near-constant dilemma before a vacation—what to pack, what will match, enough quantity to support every look for any situation without exceeding the weight limit at the airport—is manageable. However, once you're lounging on the beach, heading to a sunset dinner, and all you need is the perfect hairdo that doesn't require a visit to the local salon, this becomes crucial.
Hair stylist Tomer Giladi, who along with his partner Ofri Metza, runs a dreamy beauty complex for hair, tanning, and fashion in Herzliya Pituach, provides key tips for styling long and lush hair on vacation. The muse, of course, is Metza, a fashion designer whose designs are also available at the beauty complex. She is currently seven months pregnant and recently posed for summer photoshoots for the new boutique jewelry brand GiaGem, led by Lehi Atar Bachar, specializing in luxurious stones and uniquely cut diamonds.

Curly Blowout Before a Sunset Dinner
"One of the important points is washing. Damp hair, not too wet or too dry, and use a curling iron at a moderate heat. Ten seconds for each curl, 20 minutes, and your hair is styled. Finish with L'Oréal's detox serum (or any available alternative) for sealing ends to add a shiny, moisturized look, and brush with your hands. Apply the serum to the ends of the hair, then with the residue, move upward. Be careful not to reach the scalp to avoid a greasy appearance at the roots."
Messy Updo to Highlight Accessories
"If you feel your curling iron effort doesn't give you the 'look' you wanted, gather your hair into a high airy ponytail and leave some bangs out. It's recommended to 'mess up' the gathered part a bit for a more casual look." Remember, this is the perfect time for big earrings that will showcase the hair, and a flowing dress will complete the look.
Tight Low Bun—Time is Ticking
"First, a light wash. Massage the scalp until you get a rich lather and rinse. The second step is serum, massage the hair for one to two minutes and rinse thoroughly. The third step, gently dry your hair with a towel and apply a leave-in mask as the final step. After towel-drying, while the hair is still damp or wet, gather the hair back with a dense brush. You can part in the middle, on the side, or brush all the hair back for a fresh, effortless look. The fourth and final step—after gathering the hair, make sure to spray with premium number one spray to ensure the bun stays stable and free of flyaways throughout the evening."

Last Tip for Maintaining a Fresh Look Throughout the Vacation: Leave-In Mask"I like L'Oréal's Absolut Repair," Giladi adds, "but there are other options on the market. The mask stays on the hair and protects it from heat damage, sun radiation, and prevents frizz. Apply on towel-dried hair and leave it to air dry naturally. If you have more time, dry your hair with a hairdryer or curling iron. If you have highlights, try to keep your head out of the water," Giladi adds. High chlorine levels in the pool can cause the hair to take on an undesirable hue.
