Tested: The American Comfort Sherry Massage Chair
American Comfort has launched a new, powerful massage chair with advanced features, including artificial intelligence and various means to make life easier and more comfortable.
If you conduct a random survey among acquaintances and random people, many will likely point to the past year as the most challenging of their lives. The stress and anxiety that enveloped us, initially due to internal struggles and then because of the Iron Swords War, were and still are, sometimes unbearable. Anxiety levels have risen, along with the need for mental and physical escape.
For sports enthusiasts, Euro 2020 was, to a large extent, a source of escapism—hours of forgetting all worries and focusing on football. If Euro 2020 was a football celebration, the upcoming Olympic Games are already a much bigger festival, featuring exciting competitions with Israeli competitors and possibly several medals—an ideal event to relax in a massage chair and unwind, even if you're not fighting on the mat or running on the track.
Recently, American Comfort launched the Sherry massage chair, the latest and most advanced in its series. This is a powerful chair with multiple massage methods, primarily designed to relieve you during tough days or make good days excellent. It is smart, innovative, especially spacious, simulates human touch (4D) from head to toe, and provides a massage to all parts of the body. The chair features a wide range of massage options, intelligent voice control (in English), and body measurements monitoring (pulse, oxygen saturation, etc.).
The significant improvement over previous chairs in the series lies in its artificial intelligence system, which diagnoses four health parameters and body structure using smart algorithms to find the most effective massage program, along with health monitoring through a saturation meter that allows tracking heart rate, blood oxygen percentage, and body fatigue level. It is important to note the obvious: this is not a device that replaces doctors or specialists. If you have heart issues or any other problem, do not use it without consulting professionals.

Review
Let's start with the bottom line—I’ve tried two American Comfort chairs in the past, both excellent, but the Sherry is on another level. It starts with the design—the chair is slightly narrower, fitting better with the living room—continues with the wide menu it offers, and ends with ease of operation. Its intuitiveness is amazing, so even older people, who are not tech-savvy, can adapt to it relatively easily.
The only downside I found is the strength of the massage. By default, the massage is aggressive for some people, even when set to the lowest intensity. My in-laws, who have the chair until it’s returned to its legal owners, consistently place a pillow to soften the touch. My wife, brother-in-law, and I managed with what it offers. The common denominator: we all felt more refreshed and encouraged.
The price of the chair is NIS 21,990 (before seasonal promotions, check the website for updates), and as you can guess, it’s not affordable for everyone. However, according to American Comfort representatives, the chair was snapped up the moment it arrived, and the "out of stock" label on the website supports this statement. If you have the budget, it’s worth considering and ordering now. It is definitely worth it.
