Goldstar Beer: A new look for Israel's best-selling brand.

The cliché holds that the vehicle wins without replacements, but in the case of Goldstar beer, it was decided to update the logo and label on the bottles and cases, even though it is the best-selling beer in Israel. The dark lager beer was brewed for the first time in 1950, when the minister of finance and the figure most associated with the austerity period, Dov Yosef, inaugurated the factory near Netanya (today: the Polg industrial area) and the beer began to flow through the pipes.

Since then the label has been changed every decade - and now it has been decided to update the one launched in 2010 as well.

The new case of the Goldstar Six

Like an old brand, Goldstar's logo has also undergone many changes. The six-pointed star (a tribute to the ancient symbol of the brewers' guild in medieval Europe) remains the central design element, but the background has changed, in a way that corresponds with the brand's old labels.

As part of the King, the manufacturer also launched a "retro" case that contains seven bottles with labels from 1950-2010 as well as the new bottle, wrapped in brown paper with the consumer being invited to "reveal" the new design himself. The case called "The Next Star of Israel" is sold on the manufacturer's website for NIS 80 and also includes a branded cup.

Uri Alder, Goldstar marketing manager, said: "We are very satisfied with the final result of Goldstar bottles and cans for 2021. The goal was to update the visibility of the brand in a way that is relevant to a variety of audiences, from young people to adults, and we believe that the new design will succeed in doing this."
