Nine-year-old injured in Kochav Ya’acov, IDF rule out terrorist infiltration
The girl was injured after being hit with a stray bullet.
A nine-year-old was injured by a stray bullet in the West Bank Kochav Ya’acov religious Israeli settlement on Friday evening, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.
The injury led the Home Front Command to suspect a terrorist infiltration in the settlement and ordered residents to stay inside.
They later updated that a security situation had been ruled out and have since notified residents living nearby that they are allowed to leave their homes and go outdoors without restriction.
Victim was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Hospital
The Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics that arrived at the scene evacuated the 9-year-old girl to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center, an MDA spokesman said.
This is a developing story.
