The prime minister's wife fell ill on their diplomatic mission. She was held for monitoring overnight and then released.

Sara Netanyahu was hospitalized overnight Thursday at Hadassah Ein Keren Medical Center in Jerusalem after falling ill on the prime minister's diplomatic trip to Cyprus, the Prime Minister's Office said.

Netanyahu started feeling ill on the second day of the mission, according to the statement, and continued to feel sick on her return home. She entered the hospital in the middle of the night and was seen by Prof. Alon Pikarsky, chair of Hadassah's Division of Surgery.

The prime minister's wife received fluids and was monitored overnight before being released at around noon on Friday.
