Families of hostages set to file suit against Hamas at the Hague
The charges against Hamas include genocide, kidnapping, crimes of sexual violence, and torture.
The Hostage and Missing Families Forum intends to file a lawsuit against Hamas at the International Criminal Court, with a delegation from the Forum set to head to the Hague on Wednesday, the forum stated on Monday.
The delegation, which will include about 100 representatives of the families and dozens of attorneys from Israel and abroad, will file the suit which the forum has worked on for the past four months.
The charges against Hamas include genocide, kidnapping, crimes of sexual violence, and torture.
Bringing justice to the victims
In the coming weeks, hostages who have been released and relatives of hostages still in Hamas captivity will head to the Hague to bear witness.
According to the forum, the short-term goals of the complaint include issuing arrest warrants against Hamas leaders.
The forum hopes that this will exert further pressure for the release of the 134 hostages still held in Gaza and bring justice to the victims and their families.
