Terror stabbing attack in Samaria, IDF pursues terrorist, victim moderately wounded

The IDF received a report of a stabbing attack in Samaria at the West Bank. An IDF soldier arrived wounded at an army base, prompting a search for the attacker.

An IDF soldier was stabbed at Itzhar Junction in Samaria in the West Bank, the army radio reported on Thursday.

Initially, the IDF reported a wounded IDF soldier arrived at an army base in Samaria on Thursday and that the terrorist fled on foot. Additionally, the IDF constructed checkpoints around Huwara in search of the terrorist.

In a later report, the IDF said that the Israeli soldier who was stabbed was in medium condition and there was no threat to his life.

After an approximately three-hour-long manhunt, the IDF and Shin Bet arrested the stabbing attack suspect in Awarta in the Nablus region of the West Bank.
