White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan was briefed on refined Israeli plans to minimize civilian harm in Rafah during a weekend visit to the region, he said on Wednesday.
The United States will be watching the Israeli operation in Gaza unfold and tracking whether it causes a lot of death and destruction or whether it is more precise and proportional, Sullivan told a news briefing.
