Thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered outside of the White House in Washington to demand that the United States stop sending funding to Israel and enforce a Gaza red line, a Washington Post report showed.
Protesting after the rescue of four Israeli hostages
The large protest comes immediately after the rescue of four Israeli hostages by the IDF earlier on Saturday who were held in Hamas captivity since October 7. According to Gazan officials, during the operation, 210 Palestinians were killed.
Protestors were seen burning US flags and demanding that US President Joe Biden enforce a Gaza "red line" while holding signs that read "Genocide is our red line" and "Israel bombs, your taxes pay."
Footage also showed protestors holding up bloody masks of President Joe Biden and chanting, "Biden, Biden, what do you say? How many kids have you killed today?" They also chanted, "We don't want no Jewish state."

A monument in front of the White House was also defaced and covered with graffiti that made statements such as, "Shame on you" and "Israel is a real terrorist state." Protestors can also be seen climbing on top of the statue while holding up Palestinian flags.
Following the IDF operation to rescue the four soldiers held in Hamas captivity, Biden responded, "We won’t stop working until all the hostages come home, and a ceasefire is reached; that is essential."
