The IDF estimates that Hezbollah was content only with signaling because if it had clear offensive intentions, it would have launched several drones at the same time.

The IDF reported on Saturday morning that a missile ship from the Navy's 3rd Fleet, in cooperation with the air force, successfully intercepted a UAV that made its way from the direction of Lebanon into Israel's economic waters.

Similar to the UAVs that were sent on collection missions over Haifa and Ramat David, it is not impossible that in the coming days photographs of the Karish gas field and the area will be published.

Sources in the security system make it clear that this is a step up on the part of Hezbollah, such as those it took at Ramat David, Haifa Bay, and Asda, to deter Israel from a wide war in Lebanon.

The IDF estimates that Hezbollah was content only with intelligence gathering because if it had clear offensive intentions, it would have launched several drones at the same time to increase the chance of hitting a target.

The army raised the level of vigilance in everything related to attacks in the naval arena. Security officials estimated that Nasrallah is very afraid of a war with Israel and, in his actions, wants to deter and restrain the IDF.

Previous interceptions

In July 2022, three UAVs that were making their way from Lebanon to the Karish gas field were intercepted at a range of 1500 m.

One of the UAVs was intercepted by an F-16 fighter jet, and the other two by a missile ship using a Barak missile.

In June, Hezbollah published detailed documentation of northern Israel from a collection drone - which caused great panic in the city.

The video shows various points throughout the north, including the naval base and the Israeli shipyards in Haifa, high and in detail.

During the recording, the drone managed to track a single vehicle in the Haifa Bay area. According to Hezbollah, the aircraft was not intercepted - and succeeded in returning to Lebanon.

After a few weeks, Hezbollah published another document of the UAV that penetrated Israel, this time with pictures in the skies of the Golan Heights.

In the video, according to the terrorist organization, it is possible to see military strategic points throughout the Golan, including military camps, assembly areas, deployment of forces, border security points, and Iron Dome batteries.
