CENTCOM was recently involved in the killing of Hurras al-Din senior leader Abu-’Abd al-Rahman al-Makki in the last week of August.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) destroyed one Houthi drone, and one unmanned surface vessel in Yemen Saturday, CENTCOM reported Saturday night in a statement.

The vessels were determined to present a significant threat to US forces and merchant vessels, CENTCOM said.

Israel was moved from being part of the area of operations for US European Command to US Central Command in 2021.

CENTCOM has been involved in the defense against the Iranian attack in early April to the killing of Hurras al-Din senior leader Abu-’Abd al-Rahman al-Makki in the last week of August.

Houthi drones

The Iranian-backed terrorist organization detonated a drone in Tel Aviv, which killed one person in July.

In response, an Israeli operation destroyed the Houthi-controlled port of Hodeidah.

Since the beginning of the war, air defense systems have destroyed hundreds of these drones of different varieties.
