Biden says discussions ongoing concerning Israeli retaliation for Iran's rocket attack on Tuesday
Biden stated that discussions about Israel potentially targeting Iran's oil facilities are ongoing following Iran's recent rocket attack.
The possibility that Israel would target Iran's oil facilities in response to Iran's rocket attack on Tuesday is still under consideration, US President Joe Biden said on Thursday
According to reports, when Biden was asked whether the United States supports Israel targeting Iran's oil facilities, the US president responded saying that discussions are still ongoing.
Additionally, when asked about when an Israeli retaliation attack against Iran would happen, Biden confirmed the attack would not be on Thursday.
'Certainly talking to them about response'
The Pentagon said on Thursday that it was in discussions with Israeli officials about their possible response to Iran's rocket attack earlier on Tuesday but declined to offer more details on those talks.
"We are certainly talking to them about their response, but what their response might be, I'm just not going to speculate further on. But we do continue to engage with them," said Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh.
