Haifa restaurant takes direct hit, nine wounded after Hezbollah rocket attack

Following a rocket attack on Israel's north, nine people were evacuated for treatment, with injuries ranging from shrapnel to anxiety.

Nine people were wounded following Hezbollah's rocket attack in Israel's north overnight between Sunday and Monday, eight of whom were wounded in Haifa and the ninth in Tiberias.

The eight people in Haifa were evacuated to Rambam Health Care Campus for medical treatment following the rocket attack, Israeli media initially reported.

Among those evacuated for medical treatment, a 13-year-old was reportedly lightly wounded, while two others were moderately wounded from broken glass. Three people sustained light injuries from broken glass, two were lightly injured while heading to a protected area, and one person was treated for anxiety.

Additionally, according to Israeli media, a 22-year-old person was severely wounded in the Tiberias area from shrapnel and was evacuated to the Tzafon Medical Center for medical treatment.

Further, a restaurant in Haifa had reportedly suffered a direct hit as approximately 20 rockets were identified crossing from Lebanese territory.

Some rockets intercepted

Five rockets were initially identified, and despite interception attempts, some of the rockets succeeded in hitting sites in the Carmel and Gulf area, the military reported. The incident was subsequently investigated.

Later, 15 additional rockets were identified in the Upper Galilee area, some of which were intercepted. However, there were also reports of successful hits.

On Monday morning, a house in Kfar Havradim in northern Israel sustained a direct hit, the following rocket sirens that sounded  in the area, Army Radio reported.
