A stabbing attack in Hadera injured six people, including three in serious condition. Police confirmed it was a terror attack.

Six people were wounded in a terror stabbing attack in Hadera, police reported Wednesday morning. The terrorist was later neutralized.

This is the third major terror attack in Israel in recent weeks and follows the terror attacks in Tel Aviv last Tuesday and Beersheba on Sunday.

Magen David Adom paramedics treated two men, ages approximately 30 and 50, who were in serious condition. A third individual, around 70 years old, sustained moderate injuries. All three were evacuated to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera.

Four of the wounded received medical treatment in an operation room; one was in critical condition, one severely wounded, and two in moderate condition, the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center announced. Additionally, two more in moderate condition were hospitalized for further medical treatment.

Later, MDA reported that two more people in Hadera had moderate injuries and were undergoing medical care.

Before the police stopped the attacker, the terrorist attacked in four different locations in Hadera, wounding two in the first, a third in the second, two more in the third, and a sixth in the final location.

MDA paramedic describes the scene of the attack

“We arrived at the scene where there was a seriously injured person with stab wounds in multiple areas of his body and suffered from multisystem trauma,” MDA paramedic Shaked Hajaj reported. “He was semi-conscious; we provided lifesaving medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital. After that, we returned to the scene to continue treating other injured individuals.”

At first, the police believed the incident was likely not a terror attack. However, in a later update, police confirmed that it was.

Police officers and Hadera Municipality inspectors who joined scanned the city’s streets while a police helicopter was searching from above in an attempt to locate the fleeing suspect, Israel Police said.

The terrorist, Ahmad Jabarin, was a 36-year-old Israeli citizen from Umm al-Fahm, according to state broadcaster KAN.

An armed citizen found and shot the terrorist on Herbert Samuel Street, the fourth location where he attacked civilians, and the security forces immediately arrested him.

An ax and a knife handle were found near the terrorist, and the blade of the knife was found covered in blood during searches of the area, police said. They were transferred to the police forensic laboratories for further evidence extraction.
