The IDF added that the Israel Air Force had intercepted some of the rockets while others had impacted in the area.

Approximately 160 Hezbollah rockets crossed into northern Israel from Lebanon as of 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, the IDF stated earlier.

Later in the day, red-alert sirens sounded across Haifa, the Carmel, and the lower Galilee. Magen David Adom stated that the only physical injuries recorded were caused by those rushing into shelters. Israel Police is currently searching the area for possible impacted areas.

The IDF added that the Israel Air Force had intercepted a number of the rockets while others had landed in the area. MDA teams were called to several different locations where there were reports of people injured as they headed to protected areas in the cities of Haifa, Nahariya, and Acre, Israeli media reported.

Additionally, a fire broke out in the area of Safed that resulted in three people suffering from smoke inhalation and were sent to Ziv Medical Center. The IDF also noted that firefighters were operating to extinguish fires that had erupted due to rocket impact.
