Drone strikes home in Nahariya as IAF intercepts drones launched from Lebanon

A fire broke out in the area of Achziv as a result of the Hezbollah attacks and emergency services are currently tackling the flames. 

Following the sirens that sounded across northern Israel early on Saturday, a drone launched from Lebanon struck a home in Nahariya, the municipality reported on Saturday morning.

Israel police later confirmed that following sirens in the Tamra city area, a farm structure collapsed near the city.  A number of animals were killed as a result and several vehicles were damaged.

There have been no reported casualties in either incident.

The IDF confirmed that between 9:58 and 10:00 am approximately 20 rockets were launched into the Western Galilee area from Lebanon. Some of the projectiles were intercepted. 

Between 10:46 and 10:48 am, approximately 35 rockets crossed from Lebanon and fell in open areas in the Haifa Bay and Galilee areas.

A fire broke out in a building in Yaara following a fall in the city, Maariv reported.

Earlier attacks

The IAF intercepted two drones launched from Lebanon launched at 8:18 am and 8:21 am Saturday, the military said in a statement. 

Sirens were sounded in the Western Galilee to warn residents of the risk of shrapnel falling.

The regional council of Meta Asher in Western Galilee reported electricity cuts after the drones were intercepted, according to Ynet.
